About Ready Steady Go
Ready Steady Go commenced in Sydney in January 2004. It was initially designed due to the lack of FUN sports programs available for preschool children and to help combat the alarming increase in childhood obesity in young Australians. Ready Steady Go now has over 30 locations in 3 states.
The program was designed by Sam and Simon Boag. Sam completed a physiotherapy degree in 1996 and is now a mother of 3 very active children, aged 3, 5 and 7 who have benefited greatly from the FUN introduction to sport ready steady go has provided
Sam has been a keen sports woman all her life with involvement in tennis and netball and has most recently been involved in distance running, having competed in the 2007 Adelaide Marathon and the 2008 Canberra and Melbourne Marathons. Simon completed his physiotherapy degree in 1990 and was physiotherapist to various sporting clubs including the Collingwood Football Club.
Sam recognised the need for a program that introduces kids in their pre-school years to a variety of sport and physical activities. Learning the fundamental skills and "building blocks" of sport from a young age helps encourage children to continue to be active and involved in sports throughout their lives.
Today Ready Steady Go is Australia's largest multi-sports pre-school age program, operating from 30 venues in 3 different States. We believe our growth and success is testimony to the quality of our program.
